So, I was busy last minute packing and sending off various work emails that had to go before I do, last night, when at about 12.30am my ADSL died and would not restart. I check the phone, line is dead. I call BT on my mobile. Apparently it is a fault inside my flat and I need an engineer. I’m off to France shortly, so it’ll have to be after I get back. I book an engineer for Monday the 26th. So, its 1am, I should get some sleep.
For whatever reason I couldn’t sleep. Odd. 2am though and the on call phone goes off. One of our Singapore account managers and apparently one of our major client sites is “down”. I check and indeed something odd is occuring (turns out to be an apache weirdness a new config found). 3am, must sleep!
Bah, 8am and I need to get up and finish sorting stuff. I thought I’d try the phone. Its working. BT are clearly talking outta their arse about the fault. Arseholes.
I need a holiday… conveniently!
