Hmmm, I have been awake for 23.5hours now, so apologies if I ramble. Well yes, I appear to be in Texas. The land of the huge steak *burp* and high speed *rotfl* internet access. But anyway, I’m in Texas, my bags arn’t. Yet again the airlines prove they hate me. Scum! I’m assured I’ll have my bag in the morning though, so thats alright isn’t it…
The flight over was nice. Business class is soooo much more civilised than the cattle truck at the rear, even with the longest period of turbulence I have ever experienced on a plane. I don’t know where exactly, but the bit of northern Canada we flew in over was gorgeous! Deep dark rivers and snow dappled hill, little roads darting about the place and the odd building punctuating the landscape. Nice 🙂
I had 55minutes to get from gate to gate at O’Hare and United kindly made sure the two gates were diametrically opposite each other. I jogged and made it with 5 minutes to spare. I’m sure its a nice airport, but I didn’t see much of it. Again some lovely views through the clouds of where ever it was, followed by beautiful cloud formations, multi layers and all in smooth parallax.
San Antonio is nice. Its warm too! Bliss 🙂 Wandered down along the river to a nice steak house for diner with colleagues. Its very nice and apparently the Alamo is just over there *points* but I doubt I’ll get to see it.
Conference telephone calls at 8am, breakfast and the off to the conference. Lunch with some big wig from a hotel chain and then driving to Austin. It keeps me out of trouble I guess. I wonder how my luggage is getting on…
