Killing Joke

Friday night, Bristol Academy. Killing Joke. Rah ๐Ÿ™‚

i-(def)-i (pronounced I defy) opened, and whilst they were quite tight, they were Pantera from Manchester. They played to an almost empty floor and I felt a little sorry for them, but then everyone was here for Killing Joke…

Opening with Communion got the crowd up, by now the place was packed. KJ played mostly old stuff, with only three songs from the new album, which was just fine with me ๐Ÿ™‚ Whiteout is always a favorite of mine, and Kings and Queens got me all nostalgic. Sadly the venue ha s a strict 10pm curfew so they could hold an indie night after, so we only got one encore. Never mind though, it was an ace gig, though sadly it had the feel of a last time round gig… Go see them if you can, you won’t regret it ๐Ÿ™‚
