So the Dell tech turns up. He’s to replace the MoBo and the dead RAM. He does his ting and wanders off. Hmm, the server has only 1GB of RAM in, not 2. Turns out Dell tech replaced the good RAM, not the bad. He’s due back at the colo any time now…

no Dell bloke turns up. MCI call him for me. Apparently he claims he can not return without Dell opening a new ticket. But hang on, he is Dell(ah, no, he’s a shity sub contractor) and Dell told me he’d go back to sort out his bungled mess. Not impressed.

having said he would not return the Dell tech duely did, at 01:30 am. Strangly I didn’t hear my phone, sorry Andy!
